Of course it's too shallow. They go around telling people that if they dressed differently, people would like them more and want to be around them. How is that NOT shallow?
I think it stills stands for The Learning Channel, though now they really do only teach you how to be shallow or how to buy expensive things to decorate your house.

I think it's shallow, but for a different reason. They give the people $5000 to buy a new wardrobe and send them to some really expensive stores. When they say how much things cost it's not uncommon to hear over $100 for a pair of pants. Maybe I'm just cheap but that is a lot of money to me to pay for pants. It seems to me that they're saying you don't look good unless you wear expensive trendy clothes.

yes i believe it is still the learning channel..but i do think on what not to wear they can be a little shallow because they seem to want everyone to have this same look and it can sometimes get boring...they want everyone to have this same style...

I love that show. It changes peoples lives and gives them confidence and self esteem where they had none. I have NEVER seen a person come off that show looking worse than they did going in.... The only thing I don't like is that they do shop at expensive stores. I really don't see that show as shallow at all. I would love to get on. I really believe if you are dressed nice people treat you better....sorry but it's true.

They don't respect people's individuality. For example, there was this girl who had some spunky clothes, like a black tank top with a firecracker-like design, and Stacy and Clinton said she "dressed like a three-year-old." It's disgusting the way they try to make everyone look "normal" or "sexy" and completely ignore the person's personality. But I guess the person doesn't mind, since he/she accepted.

Tender Love & Care ...
Yes, it is shallow. It makes the people feel like crap. Let them dress how they want to dress. Not everyone has to be a fashionista.
