I heard about a year ago the Dick Chaney accidentally shot his friend on a hunting trip. Chaney claimed he thought his friend was a dear. His friend lived, but did Chaney really think his friend was a dear?

Actually they were quail hunting on a private ranch in Texas.

Any Texan will tell you that beer and firearms go hand in hand during a canned quail hunt.

So it is no surprise that Cheney (who is on blood thinning medication) got drunk and shot the man (Harry Whittington) standing behind him.

Only somebody that plastered would swing a loaded gun in a 180 degree arc and pull the trigger.

And obviously shows that Cheney was never in the military or had a hunters safety training course.

To start with the proper spelling is "deer" not "dear", and it's "Cheney", not "Chaney". Whoever told you that lie is either evil or playing a joke on you to see if you are gullible enough to believe it.
No, Cheney didn't think the man was a deer, and Cheney wasn't hunting for deer. Cheney never said he thought the man was a deer. Hateful liberals started making up lies about the accident as soon as they heard about it, and evidently you believed the lies. They were bird hunting and the man was where he should not have been. On such hunts the people are supposed to stay beside each other, and the man who was shot was in front of the other hunters. Try to find out the truth in the future instead of believing the lies told by evil liberals who are motivated by their intense hatred.

Since they were bird hunting and not DEER hunting one can presume that if Cheney thought the friend was a dear he wouldn't have shot him. I am sure you are someone's dear friend. Would that possibly be VP Cheney?

Seeing that they were hunting pheasant, I doubt he thought he was a deer... Believe it or not... it really was an accident. The funny part of all this is that the guy who got shot later apologized to Cheney for the inconvenience... The only sad part is that they were hunting on a farm.... It's a place where you pay them to release the bird from a cage, and you shoot it while it tries to fly away... what a sick excuse for hunting...

Don't get me wrong... I'm a carnivore and I have nothing against hunting for food.... But for two fat rich guys to pay $50 for the pleasure of killing something is beyond sick.

Since Cheney lied his way out of Vietnam he was really rusty at shooting. Sounds like an accident.
