Is it good or bad when foreign companies (ex companies in china or dubai) buy large shares of US companies?

I here some people say this is dangerous and say it sells our sovereignty.

I also here some people say this is good and helps our economy grow. I also heard a guy on the radio saying in the 1800's all the railroad industries were backed by British money.

Also, state what side of the political spectrum you are in.

If US companies are bought up by foreign companies-it's just capitalism. I thought competition was good for the country, according to Republicans. I think we should try what Republicans say they want, get rid of government agencies, get rid of government regulations, and let the rest of the world buy out all things American, since we're a deal right now, with the dollar devalued as much as it is. Maybe that's what it will take for Republicans and Libertarians to finally see that "unbridled" capitalism doesn't result in more competition, it results in monopolies, with Americans the serfs working for "foreign" masters, instead of "American" masters.

Edit: I'm a liberal Democrat.

If you truly believe in pure capitalism you should have no problem with it. If not then you are conceding that in certain instances a democratic socialist type approach for the common good of the people in the country is a good thing. Which I don't have a problem with. Just pointing out not everything is as black and white as we first suppose.

Good because it solved the greed factor. Bad because the hard working Americans need jobs to survive.
