I know many do not like our government, and that is understood. America is the world's policeman. No one wants one around unless there is trouble somewhere. Most foreigners who have traveled in the USA do like Americans. Then there are others who think that all Americans have a chicken in the oven every night. They aren't aware that there is hunger and poverty in our country as well. I have traveled in the UK and Mexico and Canada. I've met some great people there, and a few A Holes. Same can be said of Americans. Some of the nicest people anywhere are in Mexico. .A family living in a shack with a dirt floor will share their beans and rice. .

I'm an American, and I do LOVE the USA...but i do have to agree with some of the other countries. Some of our laws are absolutely ludicrous, and I do find it particularly annoying that we try to stick our nose in other countries battles and start wars that have nothing to do with us. I can understand why other countries hate us...but at the same time, I still love America and all the freedom we have!!! It's so diverse here!!

It is because of the government and media that is unfortunately portraying people like this. And then there are some of the bad examples of Americans that can enforce this. Everyone is different and it is stupid to generalize especially since you can't know every single person of every nationality or race.

I spend about a month each year in Europe. European people don't hate America, but their media and Governments do.
America is a capitalist country. Our example of success is an embarassment to governments that are commited to soclalism.
In countries that have made dozens of stupid choices, like National Healthcare, they have no economic, cultural, or technological growth. How can they explain that to their people? They can't. So the heap insults on the most obvious example of a more successful method. It's easier than giving up control of billions of dollars.

I've heard many people say that we're cocky, wasteful, stupid, overweight, and the worse- George Bush lovers! They obviously get from the media and govt. I think like most the the American shows in other countries are stuff like Real World or gossip about crazy stars like Brittany Spears, I kinda dont blame them if thats all they see.

"Some" Europeans have elitist sticks up their butt.
As for certain poorer countries, we sort of rape their resources and most of the profits go to investors, not the people.
