"God gives us a code to live by.
All we have to do is decipher it."

Well, I guess many scholars have tried, and got all confused, which has caused many wars and unhappiness...
but if we just apply some simple common sense,
surely it's not beyond our intelligence?

why do I think that if God actually gave us a code to live by, it would not need to be deciphered? There would be no point to making it even slightly difficult to understand. No, I don't buy that at all.

God gave us a code to live by. It's called The Law of God, and it was given to Moses. It is written in plain, easy to understand language, which does not need deciphering.

Contrary to popular belief, Jesus did not come to destroy The Law, but to confirm it. He only replaced the vicarious sacrifice of animals as atonement for sin with self-sacrifice and self perfection as atonement for sin. He added a spiritual dimension to The Law and two new Commandments (making 12 in total) - That we should not judge, otherwise we condemn ourselves in the judgment, and that we should love one-another, in the way that He loves us.

The Book of Revelation tells us that only those who are able to learn and sing the New Song will make it into the New Age. It also tells us that the New Song is the Song of Moses and the Song of the Lamb (Jesus) combined.

14:3 And they sung as it were a New Song (Isaiah 42:10) before the Throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that "Song" except the hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand, which were redeemed from the Earth.
15:3 And they sing the "Song of Moses" (Old Covenant) the servant of God, AND the "Song of the Lamb" (New Covenant), saying, Great and marvellous [are] Thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true [are] Thy Ways, Thou King of the holy people.

There is a wisdom in those words.

There was an immutable force which initiated the process of existence. And, we have only scratched the outer surface of a deeper meaning and understanding of our place in the cosmos.
