I've been researching colleges and I fell in love with Dartmouth.
I am a junior and I have a 4.1 GPA weighted and a 3.9 unweighted. I am going to take the SAT soon and I'm praying for above a 2000. I take AP Spanish and English. Next year, I'm going to take AP Government in addition to that. My school is an extremely competitive private Catholic School. I'm going to take US History, Spanish and English subject tests.
I am in NHS, Campus Ministry, National Art Honors Society, Operation Smile and CSF.
I have also been a Girl Scout for the past 10 years and I have earned my Gold Award organizing volunteer groups at the Ronald McDonald House. I have about 160 service hours (so far) and do steady volunteering with an underprivleged school and the house.
I have also earned the Presidental Service Award, 4.0 Awards, and my Girl Scout Bronze and Gold Award.
I am also billingual Hispanic girl. My parents are immigrants from Bolivia and El Salvador and I will be the first to go to college.

The SAT will make the difference. Obviously, you are a terrific young woman, and you should have some great opportunities, but you would need a very strong SAT score to get into Dartmouth. Good luck!

You sound like an amazing young woman! Just apply! If you get in, super. If you don't, not to worry. The university that has the wisdom to accept you will be blessed with an exceptional young person. I truly believe that "what is for you, won't go by you". And also, you should be the picky one. Perhaps you will be accepted to Yale, Harvard and Princeton and Dartmouth. It will be you that does the choosing. I wish you great success in your academic career. Congrats on being the first one to go to university! WELL DONE!

What else ya have been given? That GPA wont harm you. yet a undesirable SAT could desire to, a solid SAT could desire to help. What approximately your ECs? you quite did no longer tell lots. after all GPA and sophistication rank are purely approximately 2/5 of what they seem at. For ECs to get into any ivy league you gotta be solid at some thing. i might advise in case you nevertheless have time, connect some golf equipment, grow to be a frontrunner in those golf equipment, and do ok, collectively with triumphing a state championship or some thing.

Apply and find out. I'm not on the admissions board of Dartmouth.

Did they change the SAT scoring again? It used to be that 1600 was a perfect score.

Given what you've indicated you have a good chance of being accepted to Dartmouth. Doesn't mean you will be accepted just that you have a good chance.

Submit your application and they will get back in touch with you.
