I'm sure you can. We all have struggles with some parts of our jobs, and if you are at least okay with math, you can pick up what you need. One thing to think about, though, is that if you are that fond of children, do you think you can face sick and dying children regularly without falling apart completely. Of course the cute healthy children coming in for an annual check-up are great, but as a physician, you will have to deal with children who may have terminal illnesses. I'm not sure I could handle that without letting the pain get to me.

You can make it at anything you want to make it at. If that is what you want to do then go for it. It's more than just Math and Science. It's knowing various diseases and condition, psychology and child behavior.
If those things interest you, then I think you are on the right path

If you love children that much, I would say a pediatrician would be a great job. If you put all your effort totally into one thing, trust me, you will get quality results.

Maybe you should focus on a career that has more time with kids... education or even administration, for example. If it is the path you want, GO FOR IT! :)
