i think paramore is way better. i mean they are totally donw to earth, hayley sounds awsome great, the guys always get into the shows. and they talk to their fans. evenescence is so overrated. amy lee is such a bum. most members have left becuase of incidents involving her.

Paramore are better.

Alright, first of all, this is my personal opinion, I really think that Evanescence is better. The reason for my belief is because although Haley is a fantastic singer, the lyrics are a little more high school whereas Evanescence has lyrics that mean a lot more then that, they are about the aspects of life and the dark side. Im not saying that Paramore is like, all rainbows and smiles but they just need to put a little more lyrics that people can relate to. The backgroud music is also very in the moment, it makes you wonder if theyre going to change it as soon as emo is overwith. Evanescence has their own style and the haven't changed it to what it is in the moment.

They are both hot topic bands but I'd have to go with Evanescence, even if only for the MUCH higher technical skill level of the band, they could all become serious musicians once Evanescence is over..

Paramore will just be celebrity reality show has-beens in a few years, if they dont' have office jobs

EDIT - WOW, you people really like paramore... I'm assuming I'm the only one over 21 answering this

Mustang_girlie - Come back here in a year and ask what people think about paramore...

evanescence is one of the most innovative bands out there today, and paramore are basically a record label product. evanescence have a diverse range of influences, the most prominent being classical music (i.e. mozart) and metal/rock. its extremely clever music that only comes along every now and then. also, hayley williams is a pretty shocking singer, she pitches during countless live performances and hasn't really got a very pleasant voice to listen to. amy lee is an extremely talented singer who has a massive range and has absolutely beautiful tonal quality. this is my opinion, but i believe hayley was just chosen to front paramore for her image not her talent as a musician. evanescence has 3 kick *** albums that show the evolution of the band and not one song is bad. don't even get me started on paramore's new album...........

p.s. not trying to offend anyone, thats just my opinion (the right one lol) ;)

Evanescence. They use so many elements in their music and are just simply amazing. I like Paramore and Haley has a good voice and all, but they're just another band, there's nothing really special about them. Not insulting them but the lyrics and videos (esp. Misery Business) are SO cliche.
Ev's lyrics are so much deeper and more relatable, and cover a broader range of topics. If you want pure originality, check out the band I Am Ghost.

Both are very good bands. Evanescence is better though in the fact that they are known for more that just one song where as when the word Paramore is heard, everyone thinks Misery Business. Amy's voice is stronger too but I must give Hayley credit for being such a phenomenal talent live.

Evanescence is a pronounced band, I have a feeling that Paramore will just be around for a few years. Evanescence has changed the way we think about gothic romance metal music.

Evanescence 100%.

Amy Lee is one of the most talented female vocalists out in music today. She has a voice that everyone wants featured on their tracks. Hayley will never have the vocal range Amy Lee does. I saw Evanescence in a club with 300 people and she was amazing, blew me away, Paramore is just a flavor of the week, they will never amount to what Amy Lee can do.

Undead - Yeah, the kids love no talent a**clowns what can I say?

Luna lovegood - I don't think concerts are spiritual, I have been to WAY too many to think that, but I saw Paramore and they just didn't put on that great of a show. Live shows are where the bands show their talent, and Paramore didn't have it.

Nobody even gave a passing reference to Flyleaf. I will.

Choosing between these two I'd definitely go with Evanescence. They are more refined in their talent level. Not to say that Paramore isn't growing, but Evanescence is ahead.

i like both. evan is more dark and dramatic though. paramore is more of pop/rock, something to listen to when you are in a dance mood. i think my fave would have to be flyleaf though. that girl has an awesome voice.
