I've heard the song "Come Together" be used as a Beatles song and an Aerosmith song. Who sung it? Or did they both? I hear the Beatles referenced more often, but on the radio in the car the info that scrolls across said it was Aerosmith, and now that I search on both their websites, only Aerosmith's has that song listed on one of their albums. Thanks for any help.

The Beatles first...Michael Jackson also did a cover of that song.

EDIT* = The Michael Jackson version is on the HIStory album.

John Lennon (a founding member of the Beatles) wrote the song (or a version of it) originally as a campaign song for Timothy Leary. It was then recorded and released on the Beatles 1969 album "Abbey Road" - years later, Aerosmith covered it.

The lyrics borrowed a bit from Chuck Berry's You Can't Catch Me, which generated a lawsuit. John recorded a version of Chuck's song on his "Rock 'N' Roll" album of 1973 (which had its own troubles involving the strange behavior of producer Phil Spector, but that's another story).

Aerosmith should have left it alone. It sucked.

The Beatles did the original version. I never heard Michael Jackson do a cover.
