Depends on what the gift is. They say elderly people look better in light and bright colors.....but my mom wanted dark colors because she spilled alot. I still love the same colors I always did. Just maybe in different ways.

I am in my middle 50's and think every adult and the elderly would like the color purple, and some pink, like myself.

This honestly is the cutest question I ever seen! Really , I belive everyone has different taste no matter what the age. Maybe your buying a gift for a senior...if so pay attention to what colors they usually wear or the color scheme of their place. Good luck!

All my life, I have loved deep, rich velvety colors, burgundy, deep red, velvety greens, colors you feel like you could get lost in. I also love the colors of the sunset, grass, the colors of nature; spice colors like cinnamon, creamy rich ivories and coffee colors. I love soft kitten grey, and irridescent colors, like the color of an oil slick on water, and mother of pearl.

Not a fan of aquas, tho I do like sky blue, and dead brown makes me depressed, I cannot wear that color or live with it.

I like very delicate colors, like shell pink, the color of the inside of a conch shell.

But this is just me, I cannot vouch for anyone else. I notice that a lot of the elders I know wear red quite often.

Generally you will not see a senior wearing hot pink or neon green. However, normal colors are by preference of the individuals, Just because you get old, you dont necessarily go blind-you still enjoy color.

Color is not an age thing. Some people might think so by what they wear but it is because someone in retail has decided our clothes don't need to be nice colors. If they had more to pick from it would not be that way.

I don't think that age is a determining factor. Some people love bright colors and some don't. It's an individual thing.

My Mother always liked warm colors like beige, browns, burgundy, rust, hunter green. I think those colors are nice, but purple and orange are my favorite colors. And, I painted my last Harley hot pink!
