Katie or libby? (short for elizabeth but will be libby unless ones been provoked and says it in a way that would suggest shes going to be kicked in the face)

eck, lizzy isn't liked.
I'm doing this for a friend.
She wants to name her baby after me,(libby =p) and I suggested katie.
So were at odds.

I like them both. Is she born yet? I think, once you look at her, it will be decided. A new/old soul or an old/old soul, if you get my meaning.

I'm 22, so there will be a generation gap, but at the moment, there are SO many Katie's roaming around, I'd avoid that.

Libby is okay, but I's lean more toward Liz or something if the root name is Elizabeth.

Here is a website that is extremely cool to toy with, even if you're set on a name, it gives you a visual of the past usage of the name.

I think Libby would be a good short name for Elizabeth. I don't really like the name "Libby" that much though. It doesn't really sound like a name that much. Katie is a good name when it is not shortened.
