It's important to say that tinnitus is a symptom and not a disease. Some people will have tinnitus because their Cochlea is damaged. And in a few, it could be caused due to hearing loss. But of course, the most common cause of tinnitus is exposure to loud noises. The noise can be a sudden burst, or it could be a constant banging that hits the ear drum and travels inside.
A good guide you can read about tinnitus and some good natural remedies can be found here: http://tinnitus.toptips.org

Sounds like you may have Tinnitus. Have you been subject to any sustained periods of extremely loud noise recently? I once made the mistake of standing directly in front of a very large and loud amplifier at a concert for over an hour, and I had a ringing in my ears for over 24 hours afterwards.

makes me angry
trains are a dangerous and obsolete form of transportation that should be banned
at least the tracks should never interfere with the flow of traffic
(my dad died in the back of an ambulance waiting on a train that was switching cars)
outlaw trailroads now!!

I miss that sound. When I was young, we had lived near 4 sets on tracks, that had a lot of trains running on them daily.

It startles me at first. My ex-girlfriend and her sister were out hunting and they came upon a set of tracks one day. They argued about what made them. Before they figured out what animal had made those tracks--the train hit them. It makes me sad.
