Maria Montessori said it. Do you agree? give me your peace sayings and your wish for the new year.
I think that this is the last time I'm writing in this section, so allow me to make a wish:
Let's find peace in our hearts and teach nations the beauty of peace.
Merry Xmas, Kala Hristougenna (Καλά Χριστούγεννα) to everyone!
Happy New Year!!!!!!

As for peace quotes:

In peace the sons bury their fathers, but in war the fathers bury their sons.

There never was a good war or a bad peace.

Peace has to be created, in order to be maintained. It is the product of Faith, Strength, Energy, Will, Sympathy, Justice, Imagination, and the triumph of principle. It will never be achieved by passivity and quietism.

To win a war is as disastrous as to lose one

Peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of creative alternatives for responding to conflict -- alternatives to passive or aggressive responses, alternatives to violence.

yet counting on "practise" and its features one would properly be knowledgeable to hate. The word practise is purely too prevalent. The Greeks have various words and Paedia is consistent with possibility what Montessori meant. it quite is something greater advantageous than practise or coaching the three Rs. It encompasses the growth of the guy as someone no longer in basic terms a preparatory for a profession as practise today potential contained in the industrialised international.

Hi Tes. My feeling is that we will have true peace when the
Prince of Peace, Jesus, comes back to rule on Earth. Until
then we must pray and hope for the best.

BTW, I am so very disappointed that the question and your marvelous answer was deleted,RE: "Why are you proud to
be greek?" (Greek was not capitalized). If you have time
I would love to see that marvelous answer again.
I would very much like to post it on my 360 and my multiply
account. And maybe on my blog.com acct. It was the best
answer I've seen in months.
You can email me through Yahoo! Answers and your email address remains blocked at your discretion.
Once again, eisai kurios! You are a gentleman!

Let us all hope for Peace in 2008. After all this is what I think is the symbolism of Christmas, yet so far we have not been able to come close to it, because of politics.
Barbie has given some good quotations. Mine is a trite one, a song title, but it expresses my sentiments.
"Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me."

very nice what you wish, but i dont think that it can be true, go and check the answers of the greek users always in the neighbour section to see if some others want really the peace or not...
Concerning the greek one, we just got used of it, there are people who dont like others, and they declare it openly, it is ok...
But some others ,who declare everytime friendship to us, and they are always rushing after us, giving us the message that their section is forbidden to greeks by the thumbs down, in this case i dont think it can work...
Those people use our section very comfortable, but if a greek user dares to say his opinion, he is attacked by them ''how he dared''....
Anyway...Just Merry Christmas...
