http://www.wikipedia.org

I put her name into the Wiki search box... it is what Wiki calls a "stub" entry, in that it's not very long or informative, but it may still tell you what you want to know.

It tells some about her life in Romania, her career as a writer, her marriage. Be sure to scroll all the way down to milk everything out of it--

About the book you mention in particular, it only says it was published in New York, by Harper and Brothers in 1888.

I'll look at another site and get back to you soon...

I looked at the sites below, and could only find out that Amazon had a couple of copies but they are now unavailable, so I couldn't even look inside anything. One of them was from 1888, though-- one old book. No word on its condition.

Gutenberg doesn't have anything by her that I could find. If you want to search there, since the book is very likely to be out of copyright and so of interest to Project Gutenberg, I suggest you click on that link and put in any require info. i tried an advanced search, but may not have put enough into the search boxes.
Good luck to you--

***mermeliz has a link for you at which you can read actual pages of the book; give her the nod for that-- It's kind of a stiff read, but it has its interesting points.
