If so, please drive carefully. I'm driving about 100 miles one way. I just hope everyone has a safe, and Merry Christmas!

"Woah, 400 miles the day AFTER Christmas, wow.

And 500 miles! Serious driving ahead!

I love a good road trip - unless it's in bad weather, or icey.

Good luck Senator. So is anyone sleeping in the bathtub yet? haha
Hope whatever's causing your wife to be on bedrest is resolved quickly.

Ok, I'd better stop adding details.

Ok, one more "detail", especially since it looks like this question won't get many answers.

Senator: Glad to hear no one will have to sleep in the tub :)
Hope everything turns out ok for your wife and child.

The Mrs. is on bedrest, so her whole family is going to fly in for the week. We get to fit 8 more people into a 2 bedroom apartment for 4 nights. Good thing we all like each other. We're excited cuz we dont' get to see her family very often.

Merry Christmas to you too, and drive safe.

Edit: The in-laws will be bringing a few inflatable mattresses, and we have a few couches so we should all be good wihout the tub ;-) And, my wife's started having intense premature contractions about 6 weeks ago. The baby's due the end of February. So it'll be a while before she's "better"

I'm staying home. In fact, I may not even get dressed out of my jammies! Local family are all coming over here on Christmas Eve.

If we get bored we can always head up to Disneyland (1 1/2 hours away, depending on traffic).

I drove 650 miles. Not counting the problems I ran into that made my trip a whole lot longer.

drive from your home to whichever city is closest and take a train into the city. Do not drive into Manhattan. From there get a one day unlimited subway card and see all of the free things (the Rockefeller christmast tree, times square, 9/11 memorial, world trade center, empire state building, chrysler building.) have fun!

First-drive safely on your road trip!

I have to go about 30 feet (aka my kitchen and living room).

The gathering is at my house this year.

Happy Christmas
