How would you describe the concept of a " Dimension"

Actually physicists believe that black holes take away one dimension.

Everywhere time-space has 4 dimensions, but in black hole time-space becomes 3-dimensional. Thus the term 'singularity'.

SURE.. anything is possible -- we can't actually go into a Blackhole to study them, even our mathematical models are at their limits at the extremes that a blackhole theoretically places on space and time.

One hypothesis that I like stated that one can only percieve and/or manipulate the dimensions LOWER then it, never the dimensions ABOVE it....
For example: Using this concept, you could surmise that we are 4th dimension beings, not 3 dimensional. We exist in a dimension with length, width, height and TIME..but can only percieve and manipulate the 3 LOWER dimensions.
Thus it would take a 5th dimensional being to percieve and manipulate time. The higher dimensions are all around us, we just can't percieve them nor manipulate them.

As a thought experiment, the theorist gave an imaginary scenario where a 3 dimensional object passes thru a 2 dimensional space... the 2 dimensional being would NEVER recognize the orange, as it would appear as a series of cross sections with no depth, thus it wouls look like a series of circles getting larger and then smaller.

In actuality, I don't really believe it, but it's an interesting hypothesis that is hard to refute.

It is possible. A black hole is a tremendous distortion of space and time, and literally anything is possible regarding it.

The problem is that very nature of a black hole makes it impossible to study what is inside of it, so a theory can never be more than just a theory.

Black holes are super dense objects, not actual holes. They don't lead anywhere.

No. A black hole is a dead end for anything that enters it.
