just got digial clocks that has oil temp alarm would like to have this set up as i dont have standard oil cooler on ? but require what to set oil temp at ? Thanks for looking in.

First news to me. They were always anolog on the old 1100's.

Do you mean the latest Gixer 1000 cc ?

I think I've seen the aftermarket digital clock you're talking about. If I remember right, I put one of these on my old '02 SV650 because it just came with two guages (speedo & tach). I think that clock could have been set up for either reading liquid cooling, or oil cooler temp if I remember right. You'll probably have to replace the drain bolt on your Gixxer and get one of the adapters they sell to fit inside where your drain bolt used to be. The sensor fits inside the adaptor, and will give you a reading on the temp. As far as what temp to set the alarm at? It depends. If it's used for commuting and general errands you can probably set it at 230-250 degrees. If you use it a lot for track or drag racing the temp setting will have to be moved up accordingly.
