No. One of the core theories of Marx was the idea of perpetual revolution and this is practised by Western governments whenever they talk about reform, reform and another reform.
Marx agreed with totalitarian states and laws which controlled the helpless people.
Don't believe the myth from the western state broadcasters, list the few freedoms we have? Do we have the freedom to travel? No, these are restricted to those who can afford it.
Do we have freedom from state interference if we obey the law- police are allowed to stop and search, arrest anybody they want to without any need for a warrant.
Feel safe with all your life details known to the state. Think you can decide for yourself if you want hospital treatment? Many people in the critical stages of their treatment have had this treatment terminated; some have died as a consequence.
But don't worry, we no longer call it Marxism - nor fascism- we call it political correctness and liberal democracy and pay taxes for things which we have paid for! Even when we die, even the savings which we have will have not be passed on to our children, but to the state if it's enough for them to be bothered to collect.
Freedom!? It means you do what you're told. Marx would be happy with this.

No, Soviets, China, Cuba... all have not used marxism but rather twisted verisons of it. Soviets keep the government, making them unmarxist.

Marxism is not dead. The application has never been fully realized. Communism as has been applied by several nations is NOT Marxism.
