If my husband wants me to leave him he won't have to pay me anything. I don't want to be with someone that does not have to be with me. All he has to do is tell me and I am gone. I'm a big girl, I can take it.

If It was my spouse no we will go to court and of course ask for spousal support and If there are kids child support.That $5000 is only gonna last but a moment, spousal support last until you remarry My partner maybe yes depending on how long we have been together if 7, years then its common law so I would want all that we have acquired though this relationship and the $5.000 -----and move on good bye spouse/partner and hello world.

If it's your spouse, you have a responsibility to try to fix the situation.
If it's just a "partner," and you have no moral obligation to stick with them, take the money and run. They obviously hate your guts.

he tells me to leave , without giving a reason and on top of all offending me by offereing money . i would live without taking the money thats an ofense . why would someone do that she has to be a pain in the *** and must not want to leave when he has to offer her money to do so.

I would laugh. First of all my wife is not going to pay me to leave. But $5,000 is nothing.
