I have Lime wire on my computer and my friend keeps on telling me that it is illegal, and I say that him burning cds and giving them to his friends is worse. So please someone end this dispute.

Limewire is not illegal, BUT- downloading copyrighted music and movies IS illegal, and they are slowly but surely cracking down on offenders. This past year over a thousand college students found themselves being sued for thousands of dollars by the music industry, and this is likely going to increase in the future. So make sure you only download legal things with Limewire, and there is nothing wrong with it.

yes downloading songs from limewire is illegal
just as illegal as burning CDs and giving them to people
however you can pay a monthly fee for limewire and that would be legal
