Here is the real scientific approach as to how Santa does it, a bit dry and over the head for a 6 year old, but if you read it, you might be able to pull some "magical" ideas from it.

And, for those of you out there, that like to spoil the innocence of young children, by insisting that they are told there is no Santa -- YOU ARE MEAN!

Magic reindeer are very very fast. Santa is in charge of elves-so he is the head elf. Elves are super fast-so fast we don't even see them when we are out. That is why it is rare to see a fairy or elf, they are just so fast you can't see them. We only see them if they fall asleep in the house or out in the yard-but they have really good ears so they will likely wake up and move before you could ever see one. So if elves are super fast and Santa is the head elf he has to be the fastest elf ever! Plus, you know how tv shows are sometimes on at different times or they repeat (like animal planet or disney) late at night. That is because when it is 8 pm here, it is 10 pm in another place in country, and 11 pm another place in the world-so Santa has that too. And some little kids have to go to bed early so that helps. Mostly though Santa is just super fast and so are the reindeer. That is why he needs so much milk and cookies and carrots for the deer-all that running and gift giving make him super hungry. I hope you guys have a magical Christmas.

---Also Santa has a magic key to get into homes with no chimneys. But some times in homes with pets-they let Santa in cause they know he is magic and special so they know it is ok to let him in. This question will follow the how question.

I don't know how he does it nowadays but back in the 40's, 50's I was told he had a whole lot of helpers who would come in and deliver the gifts to the children who had been good all year, and coal in the stockings of those who had not been good.

He still kept track of everybody though and Mommy & Daddy would make a report so that he would know everything(Mommies do ! you of course knew that, right ?)

These days I suppose he has employed a few computer geeks to help keep tabs on everyone, but I am not sure if they all reside at the North Pole today. With the internet it just may be possible that he has branches scattered out everywhere in the world.

I don't think that I could come up with a better answer than a lot of people did already. Santa is just that fast and magical is what I planned to say. Have a Merry Christmas!

Have you not heard of "North Pole Dust"? Santa Clause, Saint Nick, Father Christmas has an abundant supply of it at his workshop. Here is how it works. Santa flies over a city or home for that matter. He spreads the Area with "North Pole Dust" and the exact appropriate presents leave his sleigh and enter into the respective household. Now, Santa does make special stops to those homes that leave him milk and cookies or hot chocolate, rumor has it his favorite are chocolate chip. Wow, I thought everybody knew that one.

I would tell your boy that Santa has a magic power like a super hero. He can Slow down time so that he can get it all done. His magic flying reindeer are also super fast(faster than a spaceship or a bullet)and Santa's sack is also magic, it will never be empty and is always full.

It's simple.Explain that different countries across the globe have different time zones to yours. When Santa has delivered to children in one part of the world first thing in the morning, it's still night time in another country. So he has plenty of time to get around the world in 24 hours.
A Merry and magical Christmas to you and your little boy.;o) x

The time zone differences.

When I was a kid, I thought I was so smart because I figured out how Santa got to all those kids. When it's night on one side of the world, it's day on the other side so Santa has 24 hours.

there was a study done in the finland on this i think. He only takes .34 microseconds at each house. he also lives somewhere in russia (only possible way he would have enough time apprantly. And his reindeer pull the sleigh at like 3x the speed of light or something.

He is 6. Santa has magic powers. Can slow down time and his sleigh is really fast.
