Finance is incredibly important in any business. If done correctly, it enables you to view your business's progress, how much profit you make etc.
Financial worksheets are only really needed for government taxation purposes, only if you are a registered company, or earn enough to have tax applied to your business.

As your business grows it is important to know where you stand financially. So that you can make important decisions, such as if you need more staff, can you afford them. Or can you afford to buy new premises or equipment. You can also calculate how long it would take you to save up for a vital piece of equipment in aiding your business grow.
