Halo 3 offline is special to fanatics of the series who craved a longer game and closure to the storyline. To the fans of Halo, no other shooters can compare. Think of us as trekkies. Movie studios would be wise to put out a Halo movie to cash in on its popularity before its too late.

I dont know where you have heard this, but there is actually nothing amazing in offline campaign, unless playing campaign with a friend over Xbox Live(not on the same console.)

The story is pretty good, but not one of those games that you say "this is 6th time I finish the game on Very hard/Legendary difficulty.)

Online play is awesome, no arguing with that, I own both the 360 and PS3, and im no fanboy of the 360, but I enjoy it more.

Most of the achievements you get for the game are achieveable only on the campaign feature, such as level completion, level scoring (you turn on level scoring and if you reach a certain score in a level you get an achievement) and skull collecting. when you get a certain amount of achievements you unlock certain armour variations for your player when in multiplayer or online. Halo is known for its online play, yes, but when it comes to Halo to truely understand it you must play the campaign and learn the true story behind......*dramatic music*..........Halo. *camera then moves up to look at the stars in space*.

well... halo 3 offline doesn't get any points. If you look at reviews and compilations on youtube of the game you never hear them or see campaign play.. It's all live play.
