I have been retired a few years now, and don't know when I ever had time for job....I am always busy with family and friends, and travel a lot.....I hunt, fish, golf, bowl, ride motorcycles, and go boating......The rest of the time, I am cooking, cleaning, remodeling my own home, or gardening....It is the best time of my life, and let me tell you, retirement is wonderful.....

I never gardened when I was working. Since full time retirement 2 and 1/2 years ago I have found great pleasure in taming our garden which had been left untouched for 8 months before we bought the place.
I do not do much in the very cold weather, but otherwise all my days contain at least an hour in the garden. Weekends are no different when you are retired; neither are Bank Holidays.

Courtyard garden in London is planted with very low maintenance things, and the paveing just needs to be swept. The cottage in Wales has a lot of land and a pond with a waterfall and fish. This is the bane of my life! As I am not there all the time, it always needs to have something done when I get there. I like the end product, but the novelty of gardening has worn off big time!

I'm busy in the garden all the time when I can get out there to work. I am an outdoor person, and have a lot of fun working among my plants. Not any more so on the weekends, aactually less, because I have other things to do with my Sundays. That's my day for brunch, and flea marketing, or to spend in the bookstores.

I'm not fully retired, but I love to work in the garden during the warm months. Today I need to get out and work on doing some snow removal.

I am not retired yet, but I don't have enough time to work in my flower garden now, so I am hoping retirement will cure that.
