so I burn it to a dvd, put it into my ps2 and it says 'unable to read'. How do you do it so that it works?

My ps2 isn't chipped, but there are people telling me that it doesn't need to be chipped for this to work. The site it's coming from is called mininova.org, they reckon it should work on any ps2...

Sometimes, it's caused by improper disc-burning. Or you haven't chipped your PS2.

Only official PS2 games can be read by a PS2 but if you were to chip your PS2 then that would be a different story.
There is some kind of hologram on the ps2 disc so it can be read by the ps2. this can be bypassed by chipping your ps2.

Well... is your PS2 chipped to read copied discs?

I had a problem with this too... even chipped
It works best if you have a very thin dvdr as it's able to read it easier for some reason
