No, but my fudge recipe has been sitting on the counter for five days. I am alone at Christmas so I know if I make it I will be the one eating it. How can two pounds of fudge put ten pounds of weight on a person?

Yes. This summer I got a brand-new kitchen. For a long time our oven had been on the blink, and so I hadn't baked anymore. But now...

So far (mainly this fall) I've done several banana breads and brownies, a couple of birthday cakes, and a pumpkin pie on Halloween (apart from countless lasagnas!)...

And now, peanut butter cookies the other day, Tollhouse cookies yesterday, snickerdoodles tomorrow, to be followed (maybe) by oatmeal cookies and then, probably Christmas Eve day, the classic decorated Christmas cookies: the yummy buttery spritz... and, of course, gingerbread men.

P.S. I can't do fudge really well, because over here we don't have unsweetened bakers' chocolate or corn syrup. Does anyone have a really good recipe for fudge without these two ingredients? They do have something akin to semisweet chocolate morsels, but the packages are pretty small. Otherwise it's all cocoa powder. I seem to remember something about being able to substitute cocoa powder + a shortening for bakers' chocolate...

Yes, Yes, Yes . I baked for three different schools for teachers gifts. I've been baking for 3 days straight and right now I don't care to see a cookie or fudge ( for a day or two ).

No fudge. But the cookies are wrapped and ready to go to the grandkids houses. Along with a whole car load of toys. Yeah. Hope the weather holds for travel.

I've been making pies instead of cookies or fudge. The pecan pie and the banana cream pie are finished. Now I have to find my daughter's recipe for that Oreo pie that she loves. Merry Christmas to you!

No, I used to make about 50 lbs of Christmas candies every year for gifts, and I think I got burned out! Now I just make cinnamon rolls, and I think maybe some popcorn balls this year. I let everybody else bake cookies and make candy, and I share my cinnamon rolls, and they share their goodies.

A group of us used to have a cookie party every year, each of us would bake our specialties and take them, and we would all trade and go home with new recipes and plates with a really great variety of cookies and candy. FUN!
