The precise moment of the 2007 solstice will be Sat., Dec. 22, 1:08 A.M. EST (06:08 UT). Are you getting as excited about it as me?

What incantations can I do for you while I'm dancing in the moonlight tonight?

You can dance the old Druidic ritual dance to bring back the sun.

Dance Persephone, or Annwyn.

Incant the old words that make for beginnings from seeds stored in the ground, of life renewing from the cold and darkness. The words that call the sun back. That mark the transition of the year. Incant the words that remember and connect us all.

Namaste to all of the Northern Hemisphere, here in the South, it is Summer.

The Soltice is a solar rather than a lunar festival. Whilst I am all for dancing in the moonlight on this occassion it is more appropriate to either mark its dying at sunset or the rebirth at the folowing sunrise.

well, i believe you are supposed to be looking forward to the coming of spring on the winter solstice...

I am having a bonfire tonight, in 2 feet of Minnesota snow.

I am aware of the Equinox, but Solstice is a dark time, when you are supposed to be looking forward to light. at least thats what the original theme of it was, I have no idea how Wicca has skewed its meaning, Gardner was a joke.

Happy Yule! But no dancing in the moonlight for us, though we're a pagan household...it's too cold here. Skyclad is not always feasible in New England.

I don't care what the words of the spell are it's gibberish, but I'd tolerate that to watch naked ladies dance around.

The same that my family and I are going to do. Ask for a better year next year and meditate on what we did this year. Keep it simple
