CO2 is not causing it.
The people brain washed by the inaccurate global warming movie are no longer open minded about the subject.
This is a short 5 minute documentary on global warming.

Why is Gore and his friends not allowing this information at the Bali climate talks?
Fairly new research shows temperatures fell for decades while CO2 increased. And brand new NASA satellites show the temperature of the sun changes often.
Also, Many English schools are now forbidden from playing "An Inconvenient Truth" in classrooms. There are over 10 misleading mistakes in the movie.
( NASA data has shown minute changes in the Sun can change the temperature of the earth dramatically. In fact, NASA has proven the sun caused the world to leave the great ice age in less than 20 years. That is extremely fast from a geological standpoint.
The ice age ended with glacier and ice covered Canada and the upper U.S. melting. Melting ice from cycles of ice ages carved the grand canyon and carved undersea canyons in the Gulf of Mexico. )
Because of recently launced satellites, we now know the sun's temperature is changing constantly.

Also, NASA data has proved that the "Little Ice Age" during medieval times was caused by less light reaching the earth ("solar variability", which means changes in the sun). NASA's data about the little ice age: http://tinyurl.com/227h3p (This data can be copied and pasted it into Excel to chart it.)
Other facts:
1) 6,000 years ago, the earth was hotter than it is today. There were no Hummers around back then.
2) 140,000 years ago the earth had record CO2 levels and there were no gasoline powered cars.
3) The temperature of the Earth has only increased by 0.65 of a degree in the last 110 years. There were faster increases in temperatures around 10,000 years ago and there were no gasoline powered cars during that time.
4) Strong hurricanes are normal. Hundreds of years ago, they used to sink ships off of the coast of Florida.

Interesting. I find it difficult to consider the facts when so many political factions post info on their websites. A close friend is a chemical engineer and has done a great deal of reading on the subject and believes there is anything but consensus. His take is that it is way more complicated than the scientific community knows. Isn't it amazing how some people call it a fact? I don't know of anything scientific that was not a fact one day and fiction the next. It's consistent in science.
I believe we should act in a responsible manner to keep our planet clean because it's the right thing to do. No one is for pollution, and I think many people have become more aware of chemicals, etc that are simply harmful. Al Gore does not know more than any scientist, and he is making money from it. If he were a Republican, every liberal on here would blast him as a profiteer, so that is a reason it be skeptical. We'll see.
The most important issue is oil dependency. We are enriching our enemy, and we need to become self sufficient.

well anyone who had a brain, knows that al gore made millions off his, global warming scare, global warming ins't new it is something that's happens, and has happened for hundred and hundreds, and thousands of years, Hello the dinosaur's are extinct now, because of global warming created by GOD, so he could form the universe we now occupy and I think the scientist's believe that also. people complain of pollution in the l.a. area, they have had pollution in la for as long as I can remember, way too many people in one area, Phoenix Arizona, has by far the worse pollution I have ever seen in my life, that has nothing to do with global warming, its just another area that grew too big too fast, too many cars on the road, adds to the problem, Boston, Mass. has had a pollution problem since the 60's, instead of some guy who lost an election, and needed attention!!!! Boston got together with an engineering group, and did a great job cleaning up the city, no body blamed anybody, but the city it's self, and they took care of it. the bigger the city, the more cars on the road, the more emission's you have, Instead of giving al gore an ego booster, look to the fact's, if everybody is gonna be in one section, that section is gonna get polluted. as far as global warming, only one person responsible for that, and he dose not reside on earth, nest time the weather goes haywire, look to the skies, not al gore!!!

The report you cite is certainly not the first, or the most definitive on the topic. The World Health Organization made a report saying the same things three years ago! Oddly, the report was 'pulled' as was their similar report on the bogus claims of damages claimed from second hand smoke.
I do not want a polluted planet any more than the most ardent environmentalist, nor do I condone smoking, it is a disgusting habit. However, I do believe in telling the TRUTH, which is not happening in the 'Global Warming' alarmist.
1933 is the hottest year on record, and the Earths' ambient temperature has never reached that level since... how can we have 'global warming' panic over something that is not happening?

Once again, the few scientists that are not on board with the overall consensus on our climate crisis are huddled into a paper and then published by politicians.
Consensus means, the majority of scientists have made a conclusion, it does mean that all do. I find it interesting that the overwhelming scientific papers and study that support the causes of climate change are often refuted as "liberal rubbish", but the moment a rare paper finds a few scientists that disagree with the consensus, the paper is held up as the "ultimate truth you liberals wish to deny".
I also find the idea that scientific consensus is somehow a "liberal idea" and is somehow "delusional", to be a distateful frame of mind. Many conservatives (like me), are in scientific fields, and supporting science does not make you a liberal. Scientists built the very army and navy you rely on to protect your freedom after all, try to remember that the next time you trash us scientists.
Many "anti-global warming" scientists have been linked to think tanks and lobbyists with known financial ties to Arab countries, who want us to keep buying their overpriced oils, so they can continue to live like kings, and breed terrorist cells. Not all of them, but the ones who crow the loudest are being paid by Arabs to do so.
So even if believe some obscure scientists who get attention and fame by going against the general consensus, even if you wish to deny the findings of every single national academy of science in the industrialized world, if the consensus American Meteoroligical Society is somehow less of a scientific source for you than the obscure scientists mentioned in the report, if the consensus of the American Institute of Physics, and US Academy of Science are not enough for you, then at least consider this:
Our addiciton to oil, is profiting Arab nations. The very nations that gave birth to the terrorists that attacked us on 9/11. Burning oil aids our enemies, it places money in their pocket. It also puts pollution in the air, that is unhealthy for your children to breathe.
Why would you not wish to explore fuels that would not only help reduce the power and wealth of Arab countries, but also provide cleaner air for your own children to breathe?
Do you love your country or not? Do you love your children or not?
Patriots who love their children, want to stop handing money over to Arab countries at 3 dollars a gallon, and want our children to breathe clean air, so the rates of cancer caused by the carcinogens in our air diminishes.
People who refuse to accept the scientific consensus, and wish to continue burning even more oil, are doing what Arab countries want us to do. In fact, many of the think tanks that spew "anti-global warming" doctrine are funded by Arab countries.
They are converting you into oil-addicted customers, so they can rip off America and continue to live like princes and kings.
Be an American, love your country and stop supporting ideas that make Arabs rich!

I agree with you. I watched a show on the sun last night and how it's thirty percent hotter now than it used to be. I am no expert, but that could have something to do with global warming too.
Man doesn't have a big enough impact to make that much of a difference.
Edit: I read your myspace blog. It's pretty good.

This report is out of senator Inhof's office, the GOP paid for it.
In other words it is a complete distortion of the facts. Just think about how accurate have these reports been out of the GOP, come on!
The new report issued by the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee’s office of the GOP Ranking Member details the views of the scientists, the overwhelming majority of whom spoke out in 2007.

the great thing about the government is that its ran by politicians. the ruling party hires and fires based on politics, not truth.
surely you must know this. i will continue to trust independent scientists and those without an agenda, but you will always be able to find someone that will agree with and defend lies if you look hard enough. just ask the Bush administration (or any other presidency for that matter)

Opinion: Global warming is probably happening, possibility granted. It's being caused by human activity, junk science and scare tactics used by those wanting us to live in caves and eat twigs and bark.
