the petshop owner said she was pregnant, but on the web i have read that there gravid spots should be black. but mine looks like it has little eggs that are yellow near her anal fin. she looks very fat.

possibilities of being pregnant, they dont have to be black to be pregnant, some dont hardly show, they can have live babies every 30 days...if she seems to want to hide or be by hersoelf there is a good chance of it

Not eggs,those are the eyes of her fry. Don't mess with her, you may have already damaged the fry by moving her.NEVER move a female livebearer when she is close to delivery,like when you can see the eyes of the little ones in her gravid spot. You will kill the fry or the female or both. Fish Killer!

it's not written in stone that the gravid spot has to be black
in your case if you have an orange or red platy it will be reddish to light orangish
and they give live birth as well, which means you see the little frys in her belly
