Ok, lets say you go to a movie, and you ponder deeply about it's message..
And then you meet a few aquaintances for lunch and you notice the way the tables or the food is aligned.
And then you appreciate that you're outside in bustling surroundings with two potential friends.
And while you're walking back you take in the breeze of the night?

..does anyone do that, or planning to? Is it silly?
Cos I know alot of people shut off their thinking and emotions in daily life. Are we missing messages this way?

This is a great way to live, finding the beauty in a flower growing by the road, or a bird singing in the trees, you are enjoying life's little wonders, try to remain on this path, it helps with life's problems and you see that what you think is a major problem is really only small and can be solved.....

Thinking.... or i guess thinkers in general are not appreciated by most of the world.. the way you ponder deeply about something.. gives a message that you really care.... that you are aware.. and i don't know if most of the people around us do that anymore... i guess people like you are a rare breed...... one day they would realize that life has just passed by... and they have hardly lived... they were there....but...!!

so if you feel this way... trust me you are the lucky one... because.. there are very few who can really appreciate ... what god has so easily put in their laps...!!

Keep on living.... because for the others.. life would be something that would happen to them... when they were busy doing something else....!! :)

i feel the same.. and used to be bewildered when i used to see other people so ignorant... but u know slowly i realized i was just plain lucky...and it doesnt matter if the other people feel or not.... because the ones who know you would understand...... :)

OMG!!! that is exactly how i am with any and everything. my friends call me silly but i just call it being blessed to not let lifes obstacles get in the way of appreciating every breath you take. u know. plus i can NEVER get my brain to shut up I THINK CONSTANTLY... EVEN when i try to relax... the good thig about it is that i think a person who does this is more intune with their inner self and their emotional feeling, etc. it wonderful. u see i'm a BIG PICTURE PERSON. i love remembering the moment and being appriciative. i love watching movies and trying to solve them befor it is obvious and looking at the message of some. i don't think u r silly for doing so... in fact... KEEP IT UP!!!

I do that occasionally. Like at movies. Sometimes I am absorbed by it and I try to analyze its meaning. I think its very nice to take in your surroundings, it gives me a sense of appreciation of the world and the little things. That way I don't feel like I am just breezing by life.

There's the obvious problem of recursion here. What happens when you ponder deeply the scenario of pondering deeply the scenario of pondering deeply ... ? :-)

But, assuming "every" is more flexible than that, I'm fairly certain that, yes, there's some value in paying attention -- even close attention -- to your environment and experiences.

Yes it is silly and what's more you end up being a snotty wannabe!!! Pretensious and unwelcomed in the real circle of grounded people.
Trust me I've seen this happen a lot in the last twenty seven years since I've left Art College.
You know life is a hell of a lot more than studying your own crap every day.

It would be nice but do you have the time? We rush so much to get this moment out of the way so we can go to the next and the next and the next.

It is even a major realization to be able to remember what the heck you had for lunch and breakfast.

Some people do this, some don't. It's not silly at all - it's just your temperament that makes you think and feel deeply about things, and perhaps see connections between events that might not occur to others.

There are times I actually do what you describe. You are really appreciating more aspects of being alive. We can't do that 24/7, but sometimes it's wonderful just to notice the sky, or all the noise in your house, and soak it up.

It is good to be at an age where you are still absorbing life. As you get older, your desire to take in every new experience is slowly replaced with the need to begin sharing your gained knowledge with others, I think.
