Here is the YouTube of the fights. They both pertain to my earlier Q- "Strange calls last night?"

JK- I actually had a good lead in PIM on my team and picked up Laraque just for that game so I thought I extended my lead- NOPE- my opponent had Carcillo.
Sure you don't like the way his knee twisted underneath him when Roenick horse collared him though. Didn't look good, though I have not heard, he could be out an extended period. He could not put any wieght on it- My guess, one of those 'CL's" is damaged- you better hope it is the M, not the A or worse yet, all of them.

Chris, I'm not sure, depends on when Avery is due back/if you have an available IR spot.

You gotta love Roenick.....................I said he'd be a boost to this team and he has been.
How he escaped with nothing after that (he threw at least 3 punches) brouhaha is beyond me. And to score the power-play goal.........sweet.
Ron was probably thinking that the luck with which he used to escape a penalty might help the power-play and it did.
Go Jeremy Go!

Laraque/Chara: Two fights, a grand total of 5 punches. Both players should be disgraced with themselves. In the first scrap, the officials were showing up the players. It involved 15 seconds of ballet followed by 3 punches, none of which landed. The second scrap was 9 seconds of ballet followed by two punches that may or may not have landed.
Phoenix/San Jose I can offer no other explaination other than the officials both locked on the other fight and missed Roenick/Carcillo. Especially given that Roenick scored on the ensuing PP, those officials are going to catch some heat from above. It's one thing to miss a call during play, it's a whole different animal when you miss an entire fight regardless of how long or short it was. The officials should have asked each other how Carcillo lost his sweater and shoulder pads prior to joining the other altercation.
I have no sympathy for Carcillo and his knee injury. (I don't know the severity or how long, if at all, he will be out. He should know better than to jump into a fight that late. If it wasn't Roenick, someone else would have gotten involved and twisted him off of the pile the same way Roenick did.

Carcillo deserved what he got, as much as I hate to see any athlete get hurt. He was going crazy & had no business breaking away from Roenick to go be the third man in.
It's too bad the rest of the Sharks play weak and allow the crap to go on. Roenick was doing the right thing protecting his teammate. It was not a cheap shot by any means on Roenick's part. I saw the game, and Roenick was the first to call for the Coyote trainers to come out.

DAMN IT!!!!!!! I've wanted to see Laraque or Brashear fight Chara for SOOOOOOO long and now it finally happens and it's the worst fight i've ever seen!! Did either of them land one punch?
As for the SJ/Phx brouhaha I have to say i have new found respect for JR. He's an old dude at this point and still goes after a guy like Carcillo. You gotta give Credit to a player pushin' 40 taking on one of the toughest guys in the NHL.

Roenick took Carcillo out in big way, too bad the sharks blew their lead and lost.
Who would have though that Roenick would be such a boon for the Sharks this season...
