Most people have never taken a course in logic; or a course in Philosophy 101 for that matter.
People tend to make decisions based on what they know; unfortunately, most people do not take their education seriously and memorize/cheat to get through school, never realizing what they are missing. Once out of school, they do their job, have kids, party and don't worry about learning things.
So, no logic, just emotions based on ignorance.

Yes, people make decisions based on emotion. We are emotional creatures.

Sometimes logic overides though, because the logical
decision is the best in the end.

A.K.A. Common sense.

that's not a very logical thought, its based on what you feel and not what you know. logic tells you to cross the street when the light is in your favor, emotion makes you run into the street without looking because you are in a hurry or in fear.

emotions are heavily based on logical feelings. so in the end your statement is an illogical assumption based on your emotions and not a logical statement at all.

that's just a logical, non emotional interpretation.

most of the times, it is always the case. Back it up.. you mean supported by(logic)? right?
If we rationalize through our logic, it is good, but you're right, emotions may still prevail. But if we reason out our logic or rationalization, then i know for sure that emotions will just tag along, wherever our reason goes.

That assumes people aren't capable of reducing their emotional influence enough for logic to prevail. I agree that more often than not, "logic" is used to justify what someone used their emotion to decide, but that does not make logic non-existent in it's purest form.

The act of making a decision is logical, regardless of what you use (emotion or rationality) as your criteria.

I think that it happens, but isn't the basis of every decision made.

similarly, people set out to prove a hypothesis with their answer in mind, and alter the results (subconiciously) to fit their hypothesis.
