Our dog has a couple of jumpers and a coat - but these are really to keep him warm rather than because they look cute

Clothes for dogs is the number one sign of a nutty, besotted pet owner. The only thing I'd put on a dog is a collar, a bandana or a pack especially made for hiking dogs so he can carry his own food and water.

Clothes for cats is just insane.

This is just for people who like to accessorize EVERYTHING.

NO! I really feel bad for animals who get all dressed up by their owners but you know I have to put my dog in shoes to go for a walk he drags his legs (yes I know what it is and don't tell me to go to the vet he has been) but when I was searching for the shoes I saw cowboy boots and ballerina shoes for dogs I juts got what is more like booties or something to protect his feet. I was also amazed to see whole lines of clothes for mostly smaller dogs. I have a German shepherd and wouldn't dress him if you paid me or it was in some way to protect him like his feet

I used to dress my dogs up only to take silly pics of them, sun glasses, hats, santa hats n faux reindeer antlers. I took pics of my ferrets in little santa hats this year to put on my christmas cards. Everyone I sent them to thought they were really cool.

I don't think it's right to dress animals up as fashion accessories and carry them round in bags. When celebrities do it people follow suit and a lot of animals end up in rescue centers because they are out of fashion.

Nope. The cat would probably kill me in my sleep if I tried that with him, and my dog is too big - he doesn't need to be dressed, and I don't think he would allow it anyway.

I got him reindeer antlers for Christmas, and he will not wear them. He will now allow the other dog that lives with us to wear them either - he yanked them right off her head.

no I don't dress my cat. I think that dog or cat clothes are a waste of money and look stupid

No need he has a very fashionable black fur coat, it gets washed once a month in the summer, but I leave it in the winter!

besides a black Labrador would just look silly, and i think he would die of embarrassment if the local hard nut rottweilers saw him!

Tried to put a dog jacket on my dog in the winter when he was a pup. He went berserk!! I've never tried it since and he's 11 now.

I never dress them "just because," but one of my dogs has a very short coat and is often chilly (and it gets COLD here in Pennsylvania), so I do have a sweater/coat for her to wear outside in chilly weather.
