we're going to my mother in-laws house. they are hillbillies who live in a holler in tennessee.
i dont eat gizzards and i dont drink moonshine.
am i just supposed to smile and say 'thank you' when i open our gift containing the mounted buck antlers they think would look 'purdy' above my daughters bedroom door?

Yes smile and nod thanks a lot. But the way you'll survive is by looking at the little bundle of joy tottering around gurgling and laughing and think just how much fun it's going to be for the next few years.
Truly children make Christmas special..and you can't help it.

well spice up the party and bring your own beer or make spiked egg nog lol. tell them your a vegetarian when they serve the gizzards and presents can easily disappear if ya know what i mean lol.. your only there for your spouses support. you dint have to agree with there life style. add something of your own to make the holidays better. or maybe you can just be drunk off the egg nog through it lol..
