Women went to work in the factories during war time. Have you ever heard of Rosie The Riveter? This was the universal symbol for the women who worked in the factories and supported the war effort.

This was the precursor to the womens movement, many women enjoyed working out of the home. When men returned from the war, women were let go, some that were supporting their families on their own. This is a very interesting time in history. These are the women that paved the way to the opportunities that we have today.

Are you serious? If the MEN were out fighting...who do YOU think would go to the factorie? The children? The plants or animals?

The only way you cannot find this is if you don't look.

THE WOMEN!!!!!! I wrote you that earlier! It was the first mass mobilization of women in the workplace, second only to women in WWII, to produce war goods while the men went off to fight.

Since child labor was illegal by then, it was women that went and took the men's places.

women, duh they were the only ones left who were able to work. You had to have heard about the changing role of women around war time and how it influenced the women's movement
