It's a Long way away. In the meanwhile we should listen to all available information on the candidates and PARTY. Then vote for the best PERSON who reflects our own personal values, hopes and dreams for our country; regardless of gender, race or religion......Hey, who ever it is, we cannot get worse than what we have now, that's for sure. So think positive.

take a look at how bill clinton ran the government, no problems at all and our national debt was not bad. Sure he screwed up and the end with the sex thing but that has no affect on how to run a country. We can expect the same activity from his wife hillary, obviously when we vote hillary in where voting 4 bill also.. Obama is too arrogant...The world will end if a conservative gets elected-unlikely.

Id have to go with McCain on qualifications. Hes a long term senator. All the dems are one term senators, and most of the repubs dont have a ton of experience either. More importantly, he is the only military veteran of the main canidates. He was in a POW camp in Vietnam for 5 years, and when he was offered to be released early because his dad was an admiral, he refused saying that he would not desert his fellow soldiers. Now thats true leadership! Hes the only canidate who knows what the military is going through right now, and knows what is appropriate interigation/torture polices and what isnt.

Hes a straight talker and he actually votes aginst pork barrel spending and has made a career on it. He is willing to break the party line. He was very critical of Rumsfield and was attacking bush for not sending enough troops and skrewing up the war from day one.

Yes a lot of people are ticked about his amesty positon, but the reality is, that he was trying to compromise in congress to get SOME bill passed. Not having any imigration reform isnt helping. Yeah, it essentialy granted amnesty, but it also would have increased border agents and cracked down on employers. The status quo is that nothing is being improved. In an atmosphere where the parties are so politisized and polarized, he has shown himself to be able to actually unite the partys to gets things doen in the past. Though I dont agree with him on a good amount of things, I think he is exactly what the country needs right now.

As an example of his straight talking, three weeks before the Iowa caucus, he just said farm subsidies were a waste of tax payer money! Now that takes gutts, and hes the only canidate on either party willing to take that position in Iowa, and not pander to a bunch of farmers who want their free handouts.

whats wrong with the constitution of the U.S.A. all of a sudden. Washington, Lincon, Jefferson, and the others are not here today but if they were ,would you vote for them knowing there views? as far as i can tell there is only one candidate with their very same views. i will say Dr. Ron Paul. give the man a chance, he has done no wrong.

If you want corruption out of Washington vote for Obama. He's the only real candidate that will bring true change. Candidates like Paul and Kucinich would as well, but they don't have a real shot at winning the primary, it's a throw-away vote if you vote for either of them. Look into Obama
