Tools, Training, and culture.
Tools:
Women have make-up, hair styling products, jewlery, shape-enhancing undergarments, clothing and shoes. If men wear any of these things, it's just freaky.
Training:
Women, from a very young age are taught how to brush their hair, brush their barbie doll's hair, paint their nails, use a barette, etc... Men are taught to brush their teeth and wash their hands (if you are lucky!)
Many women spend a great deal of time making themselves pretty, and know how to do it. It may take a woman over two hours to get ready for a date or night out. Men, simply, do not.
Culture:
Let's face it, women are judged more on their appearance than men. The first thing you notice about a woman is how they look and how they are put together, and you will judge their socioeconomic status based upon that. With men, it's more about the job they have, the car they drive, and the home they live in. This isn't to say that men aren't judged on appearance and women aren't judged on posessions, but the scale weighting is very different.

lol you know when you get to know a guy (regardless of you thinking if hes ugly or not) you think he's cute? i know that sounds wierd. When you know someone it makes them cute. I think its just guys dont care as much as girls do, but also i think some girls dont care as much as guys do. I have a cousin who is with the program and a lot of his friends are attractive. They just like to take care of themselves. I think it just depends on the guy. i dont know, ive never actually thought about it lol

Maybe you are just shallow. You know a lot of u look better because you fix yourself up with makeup for like an hour every morning. Thats not natural beauty

Attractive is a subjective statement. When you say attractive, by what standards are you judging? Attractive to you? More clean looking? More like they should be in a magazine or on stage? More fasionable?

Girls wear makeup and do their hair everyday. Guys don't.
But I think underneath that makeup, girls definately look worse than guys. Most girls look terrible without all that crap covering them up.
People are ugly. End of story.

We're not!!!! We live in the real world, and don't try to hide our true appearances under a camoflouge of perfume, mascara, as well as blaming the opposite sex for our problems. Its just hard for women to accept this, because, in order to truly see us for who we are, they have to take off their rose colored glasses, that they are required to wear to look at all that pie in the sky.

because they really dont care about their appearance, i mean they wont shower for 3 days and walk into school looking all greasy =]
stereotypically that's why most gay men are much more attractive, because they clean and style themselves!
