Back in the "old days" when pregnancies were measured in months and not weeks, I began having Braxton Hicks contractions with my 3rd pregnancy in August yet she wasn't born until November 12. I have no idea how many weeks that was without looking at a calendar since we didn't measure gestation that way. I was dilated for 7 weeks with her before she was born. About the same time I began dilating I would have regular, time-able contractions every day and would get down to every 5 minutes apart until I went to bed, then they would stop. This went on every day so I can understand your exhaustion since I also had a 5 year old and a 3 year old to care for. That pregnancy was the only one where my water broke at home. She was born 4 1/2 hours later and would have come sooner if she had not been in a posterior position (requiring a forceps delivery) and had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. She was born 5 days past her due date. She was in rough shape for a few days, but is now a perfectly fine and healthy 23 year old adult.

Yes it is totally natural, it helps to prepare your body for child birth. I had them on a daily basis from about 24 weeks...although you can start getting them alot earlier than that..
