i got in it and turned it on and stuff
and when i went to back up the gas petel is not working
whats wrong with it and i doing somthing wrong

"Call The Rental Place!" Sounds like Broken Linkage or Cable! (Sometimes they have a "Throttle Lockout" that may not be Releasing!)

What kind of car are we talking about here???? If the gas pedal is not working (carburetor????? fuel injection????) then the operating cable from your pedal to engine must have worked it's way off it's fitting?? Need more info!

Do you have a cruise control on your car? Your cruise control may have stuck your gas pedal down.

But most likely it's the cable of your gas pedal. If not your throttle may have stucked.

i would say the linage is broken, or disconnected some place.....with the car off, have some one move the pedle while watcth the throttle lever on ur enging.....if it dose not move follow the linkage to u find the problem

What year, make, model of car.

When you touch the gas pedal, does the engine rev but the car not go anywhere? Please be more descriptive.
