I keep getting an annoying pop up every time I try to open my brouser or go to a different website. It says "your computer was infected by trojan, It's dangerous for your computer, some files can be lost! Click ok to download the antispyware program to protect your computer"

Of course I click cancel, but it continues to pop up every time I try to go to a web page. Please help!

Your computer is most likely infected with what is commonly called "rogue anti spyware." Basically, rogue anti spyware infects a computer and warns the user that their computer is infected and tries to scare you into purchasing their software. Once installed, they cause more damage. You will need to install a genuine anti spyware program to remove it. The 3 most popular anti spyware programs are: Spybot Search&
Destroy, Lavasoft's Ad Aware and Microsoft's Windows Defender. You can find all 3 at http://www.filehippo.com/software/antispyware/ While you can only install one antivirus program, you can and should use more than 1 anti spyware program. Install them and then update them. Run a scan with each program and be sure to quarantine any suspicious files.

You probably DO have a trojan on your computer; along with a TON of spyware. You need an anti-virus and Ad-Aware. If you just search Yahoo! Answers before you ask a question, you will see that people ask these questions all the time.

Well then you're going to need a real anti-virus program.

I would recommend the following two programs:
Spybot Search and Destroy
(http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html)
go click download from either one of those.

And AVG Anti-Virus
(http://free.grisoft.com)

Both are free, run those and clean up your computer, it seems you have some adware.

Hey!
Maybe you should update your antivir-database or download some new application... I use Avira, it's for free and it killed many of my Viruses, Trojans, etc.
You can download it for free @ http://www.free-av.de/
