I am looking for a new place to try out. I ate at the Grateful Inn in Maplewood last weekend and loved it. Great atmosphere and great organic menu. Are there any other unique places like this that I can try out? I prefer South City, but will stay open to venturing out.

You've probably already been there, but Sidney Street Cafe is hard to beat. I would go there for the beignets alone!
Sqwires is awesome, too. It's not romantic, but it's fun.

in benton park try frazers and venice cafe. broadway oyster bar is good, cheap, and has some funk about it.

try hodaks. its in south city. awesome food, great price, great atmosphere.
