Since almost everything is closed and they also dont celebrate they day what do they do?

In my town, the two synagogues and the Islamic Center team up to staff the soup kitchen, and prepare and serve Christmas Dinner to the homeless. That way our Christian neighbors can be home with their families, with a clear conscience.

Well seeing I'm not orthodox Jewish I still celebrate the "Pagan" celebration. We are normal people, we still spend time with our families and Loved ones, still eat etc.

My ex-boyfriend was Jewish, and he and his family went to the movies and hung out at home and played games.
And occasionally, Hannukah lands in the same week as Christmas.

We're going to be having an open house where people can come and play board games. In years past we have, in fact, done the movies-and-Chinese-food routine.

Same thing you'd do on any other day where most stuff was closed, like New Year's Day, Easter, etc. Hang out and shoot the sh*t, go to your friend's house, watch TV all day in your shorts, ya know....
