Has anyone tried them. I believe the one I'm talking about is Loestrin (sp?). How did it work for you? How long did it take before periods got shorter? What side effects did you have? Did you notice more or less weight gain with it compared to other kinds of birthcontrol pills?

Loestrin 24 fe is the pill your talking about. I've been on it for 18 months and what the commercial doesn't tell you is this:
-it is normal to not have a period at all (no your not preggers)
-modd swings are a little more commone than the normal 21 day triphasic pills
-breasts grow up to 1 cup size in the first month or so
-it's normal to be nasuous when you go on it & off of it
-weight gain around the abdomen is normal

I still like the pill, but I am always worried that I'm preggers when my period doesn't appear one month. I talked to my doctor and all of the symptoms I listed are normal with this pill. I had to actually go see my gyno for a pregnancy test when I missed my period for the first time. That's when she felt the need to let me in that secret. I was so fricken pissed.

But if you have more questions, I listed a site where you can get more information. Don't go to Loestrins .com page, it didn't tell me about any of these symptoms.

Even after all the negatives, I am still taking it, but that may change when I go in for my yearly.
