If you are good enough it won't mater, but you should really look into a university outside of Toronto. UFT and York are not your ideal schools for playing football. unless you enjoy losing a lot. You should look into schools that are not that far from Toronto , but not that close either. Some suggestions are; Wilfrid Laurier, Ottawa, or Western. If you are looking beyond Ontario. Laval is your best choice. However if your choice is really down to Toronto universities you should go with York. There will be scouts at some of the school's games. All you would really have to do is play well enough to catch their interest and you are set.

If you are good enough you will be scouted no matter what team you play for. However your best chance would be if you played for one of the CIS schools with a strong football program. That would pretty much mean you would have to look outside Toronto as neither U of T nor York is all that special when it comes to football. Think about Western or Big Mac if you want to stay in Ontario.

U of T is an awful football school. York is better, but still not great. But yeah, the great players will excel, regardless of which team they're on. Western or McMaster are probably the top football schools in Ontario, though, so you might wanna look into them. There's no way you can go to Laval unless you speak French, and can pass a French competency test. They've gotta great football team, but it's a French-only school...
