I had 1200 sat scores and 3.3 GPA.
I got rejected.

If you're transferring, you may still have a shot since your college GPA is fairly good! A 3.77 in high school may not have cut it, but most colleges and universities are more lenient with transfers.

According to the Georgetown website, the AVERAGE GPA for transfers is 3.7 on a 4.0 scale.

They probably won't care about your SAT scores, though, since you're already attending another college.

Good luck!

Probably not, but if you were to wait until next year and continued doing as well has you have been, your chances would be good. Until you have completed two years, they still look at your high school record to determine your eligibility, so your low SAT and GPA would hurt you. When you transfer as a junior, only your college performance counts; they don't look at SAT at all, and your college GPA is what matters. Wait a year, and you will be fine.

Seems like you're doing really well at your Big 10 school and being very active. So why do you want to go to Georgetown then? Are you unhappy here?

Where is the extra value gained by going to Georgetown? Do you want to go into federal government? The prestige? What are your post graduation plans? Do keep in mind that GU is a lot of $$$ - what are you getting for that extra cost?

No you do not have a chance for Fall 08. The reason is because you haven't done a full year and your poor high school grades will still be in effect. If you can maintain the same grades you are getting then I say try and transfer next year because if you maintain that you have a good chance!
