And lets assume mankind could travel to the planet (taking about 25 years or so) And if that planet had oxygen, trees and new animal lifeforms and no humans.

Would you like to live on the new planet or you would rather stay on earth?

We are only assuming. Naturally no habitable planet that will take 25 years to reach has been discovered yet.

I'm a loner by preference. And I hate governments that meddle with people (such as I) who don't really need to be meddled with. I'd jump at the chance to immigrate to another planet, which is as Earth was about 10000 years ago. I'd give up computers! I've already given up television. Fresh air, elbow room, and no almighty, arrogant, presumptuous government sending its corrupt bureaucrats to read you the regulations. Yeah. Investing your labor in the stock market of Mother Nature and getting a 10000% return on every seed you plant, and GETTING TO KEEP IT ALL. Yeah!

I wouldn't mind at least visiting the planet after much research has been done, however I think we should focus on planets that we know more about already. Inhospitable as Mars may seem, a little technology could help us survive there permanently. Human colonies on the moon are also very probable. We simply need to extend the benefit of space travel to the common citizen by inventing a cheap and efficient way to reach our planetary neighbors.

At the moment, there is no exoplanet that resembles Earth. Many are close, but alas fail to be either in the right position or have the right kind of star. ^ However, we have only really been looking for about 30 years, and the technology needed is advancing. So far, we have detected about 700 exoplanets but that number will increase as our technology and understanding of the factors increases. As to is there an Earth like planet with life. Who knows. The likelihood is very high but without proof the answer is no. An "Earth" like planet could orbit a G2 star at 93,000,000 miles but for whatever reason, life did not "catch". Until we can detect life on other planets or more probably, moons it is unlikely to be resolved. The "believed" consensus is that there is "life" out there - we just have to find it.

Believe it or not...
Earth was already visited by others life forms out there.
The creatures look much like humans but much more evolved.
Much like how apes turned to humans..
but the new species are smaller..their skin is a different tone and they have absolutly no hair..

Some governments including the United States are keeping this a big secret all the way back from president Dwight D. Eisenhower was when this was discovered.

There are many reasons why the government would keep this a BIG secret from us. It would probably cause panic around the world and national security would break.

I know one more thing...
The life forms that visited us did communicate with us and said that their star was dieing.. probably the newly discovered planet that orbits the Red Dwarf star.. they could be from that solar system..

Considering the facts as pointed out by history, that man has this undying desire of quest, conquer and the thirst of exploring and exploiting all at hand, it will not be disappointing rather not surprising that man would surely settle in this new planet... I would surely love to move onto this new planet but this time with strict care of not harming the rich habitat that the planet has...Learning from the mistakes of his ancestors, man should learn not to exploit and encroach but to settle adjustably without any harm to the natural habitat of the new planet.

At this point in my life, I'd love to make a journey like that, but I'd be far too old to enjoy it once I got there...
Assuming I survived the trip in the first place.
Cool question.

I'd go if I could get there faster. 25 years cooped up in a spaceship is just too long.

Given my druthers, I think if you were asking this 20 years ago, I'd say, "Let's go!" today, however... I'd stick around & let the younger guys make the trip.

Hi. Sorry but I like my football in HD. (You would gain solitude at the expense of everything and everyone you like.)
