...read the names that people are considering naming their child and just go NO NO NO but you're too nice to really answer with that?

I mean I should cut them some slack considering
a. tastes vary greatly
and
b. I looked into some pretty whacko names when considering my daughter's names as well.

Still though, it seems to be happening more and more to me!

I sometimes post "no no no," but not nearly as often as I think it.

I'm shocked by how many people think that "Kayden/Hayden/Jaden/Mayden" and "Riley/Kiley/Miley" are actually creative names.

You're right...crazy names with weird spellings might be cute on a baby but a liability for an adult.

Can you imagine filling out a job application with some of these names...do you think they would be taken seriously by an employer???
and advancement in a career might be impossible with an "Unique" name or one that with non-standard spelling.

Unique doesn't have to be ridiculous.

Parents should think long and hard before they saddle a kid with something they have to live with for the rest of their lives!

You are so right and these 'unique' spellings are obsurd. Why do you want your child's name to be mispronounced and misspelled their whole life? They aren't considering their future...what boss wants an employee with a name they can't pronounce and don't get me started on the school yard teasing?

Seriously! It's like, exactly how much do you HATE your child? I cannot STAND the overly unique names like Jaceon Alyianaiah and that sort of thing. Come on people, these are children, not hybrid car space ship things!

i agree.. sort of.
i like "unique" or "unusual" names... but not THE WAY OUT THERE names!

i love for girls: caidan, kennedy, audrina, and rayleigh.
and boys: hayden, jackson, connor [not to unusual], and liam.

crazzyyyy out there names of heard: cerphya, honji, farrah, gennovia, diom, and treshal. [not even kidding! ive seen people considering naming their children those names!]

not really I'm usually very honest about what I think, in a polite way, whether I like the name or not.

Oh believe me, if the name sucks I will not hesitate to tell them.
