reality is obviously a figment of our imagination, and entirely dependant upon te agreement of the entire populace to validate it being real. In the event of this transpiring, there are measures implemented to ensure that what was real at the outset had become, at thatprecise moment a horrible nightmarish fantasy, and not reality at all. So it exists if he who ordains and narrates our fate, should in a moment of pity upon his hapless wards, say that it is.
Until then reality is what you envisage it to be. Envisage, need, desire, want it to be. As long as you believe then it is very real. And should you seek to unveil reality, then it take upon itself another guise and not be the reality that you had thought it to be....

Deep question! I suppose some might say reality as opposed to our dream world is where we are bound during our earthly existence. Eg what we dream about could have different consequences in our waking life. We might dream about pink elephants but none have been discovered in the world (yet!) We may dream of dying in a plane crash and wake in relief (hopefully, unless suicidal) but if the plane crash happened in waking life death would be a reality. Or if you were shot, say, the coroner would confirm your death. In many faiths reality isn't just about what is seen. Heaven and hell for example in the afterlife are unseen as are angels, demons and God Himself. I speak from a Christian perspective. If once nothing existed but nothingness our reality has to go deeper than the visual. And whether you believe in evolution or creation, matter was formed from the invisible, therefore you could say that the invisible is 'more real' than the visible. Phew! Happy Christmas :o)

Reality is just what every single person answered. It is different from our fantasy world, etc. It is staring us in the face every minute, and whether we choose to acknowledge it is up to us.
We all live it everyday, but we have our other little places we go to, or things we do to soften the harshness sometimes.
Reality is a very good thing, just sometimes it can tear your heart. Other times it is what you come back to because things get too far out of hand. Life is that way.

IF you are serious, I recommend a book by a philosopher who spent much of his life on this question, Xavier Zubiri.
He distinguishes Reality from Being.

Who is asking this question?...and who answering?

And if we believe the first is you and the second me?......how do we know it?

We might concur?...but is that sufficient?

So the test of your question is what level of proof you will accept?
