I'm a Steeler fan. I would root for Jacksonville. Their team is full of unselfish players, and man they are physical.

For the record I'm no bandwagon Steeler fan. They're my home team.

Aha, the Cowboy, Steeler, and Niner fans are all rooting against eachother. I agree.

Good question!
I like your idea of Jacksonville. They remind me a lot of Pittsburgh, so I'd probably root for them.
As for the NFC, if the Steelers won't be in the Superbowl, I am pulling for the Packers. I don't want to see Dallas get six before the Steelers do.

Besides being a lifelong Vikings fan I am also just a fan of the NFL so there are a lot of scenarios I would enjoy. I have always been a closet Browns fan, mostly because they are the perennial underdog, so I could root for them. I like the Jags because my all-time favorite Viking, Jack Del Rio, is the coach so I can root for them. It would be great to see the Pats go undefeated. Seeing Favre win it then retire would also be fun. I can support the Hawks, my family lives in Washington and I've always had a soft spot for that team, again often the underdog.
The only scenario I wouldn't be able to support a team would be Steelers - Cowboys. Steelers because there are so many bandwagon fans and Cowboys 1) same thing bandwagon fans 2) the whole America's team BS arrogance I have never liked the Cowboys, even though I went to college in Dallas and have always loved the town.
When its not my team playing I usually root for the team that doesn't already have a ring. If all else fails I root for the NFC except of course if its the Cowboys.

I am a Steelers fan....and I will be rooting for Jacksonville if the Steelers are out. However, it looks like the Steelers will be playing Jacksonville in the Wild Card game, so hopefully I won't be rooting for Jacksonville, because that would mean that my Steelers lost!! haha.
After Jacksonville, I would probably root for the Packers. I have a lot of respect fo Favre.

Since I'm an NFC fan (Carolina) it would be an AFC team...just because I don't like any other NFC teams....I'd have to go with New England or Jacksonville.
New England because 19-0 would just be great and people wouldn't be able to say "going undefeated is impossible" instead they'll have to say "going undefeated is improbable"
Jacksonville because they're a very impressive team on both sides of the ball and the running game, next to Minnesota, has the best tandem in the NFL. The QB doesn't make many errors. Just a rough football team, have to respect that.

i am selfish... (as a niners fan) I want to be the first to get number six so i will be rooting against the stealers AND the Boys during the playoffs... and GOD FORBID they both get there i will cry and probably not enjoy a minute of the super bowl...
That being said... i (being a niners fan) am already rooting for the jags to steal it away from the pats and Bret Favre to make one last super apearance in the superbowl!!
and than favre bringin one home for the NFC for once!!! lol

I'm a Cowboys fan, and If the Boys don't make it, I'd like to see the Packers win it all. In the AFC, I would also like to see the Jags make it to the Superbowl. I've always had a thing for the underdogs.
