Well then throw a party ^-^ The best parties are those with friends. Trust me, just hanging out with your friends is sometimes waaay funner then those parties. Trust me; I've been to parties like that and I've thrown parties like that, and I have some amazing friends and I'd rather spend one-on-one time with them. The parties aren't that great. Just be happy that you have such awesome friends; a lot of the people that go to those parties have "fake" friends that they don't really like all that much.

Get out to the parties straight away. Go and have fun boy. You are only young once and if you don't at least try half a dozen before you make your mind up about them you will regret it later in life.
At parties, they usually take a complimentary bottle of something, you mix with people, have a laugh, have a dance, have a smooch. Listen to music playing generally being in a social environment.
Go, try you may even have fun.

Just be yourself, don't pay attention to those who don't invite you, they just don't know who you are. Continue on doing what you usually do and keep yourself with a good company. Going to huge parties won't make you a better person or more successful in the future. Big parties? you mean too much puke and drunk people who make idiots out of themselves? Enjoy your skiing trip and you may find a girl there that you can ask her out. Have fun, life is too short to spend it feeling down! Trust me....

When you're next invited to one, go. Try and take a friend - so you have someone to make you feel more relaxed. Chat to people you know, and if you hate it, leave early. There will ALWAYS be a next time.
I remember my first party - around your age. A nightmare of social insecurity but you get through it. (My dad turned up just as I was trying to open a bottle on non-alcoholic beer by smashing it against a wall. And my friend was sick in the back of his car. Great.)

Maybe you could have a party.
Having good friends is more important than going to a party. There are always going to be people who don't like you as much as you like them, and vice versa.
Make your plans with the people in your groups. That's more fun than hanging out with people you don't really know.

if your invited then go to at least one and you dont even have to stay the whole time just go make sure you made a presents in the room and leave. then alot more people would know you and you could be more "popular" but not in the superficial way. but dont stress out about these highschool parties. they sound like they are in giant spaces with dancing, bonfires, drinking, rooms that you accidently go in when someones getting it on, and all that stuff you see on tv but its not. dont worry. in college nobody cares about highschool parties and you'll be invited to tons where you feel comfortable. join a fraternity

balh i dont miss the whole clique thing about high school....i wouldnt worry about the parties..go if you want but dont forget who your real friends are...b/c after highschool those people that judge other kids and think they are better b/c they are popular will get a rude awakening....i was friends with pretty much everyone in high school so i went and did the party scene with the other popular kids and it was sad to see how fake a lot of them were...doing things to impress other people...and now talking to some of those kids i went out with we all agree how fake and rediculous it was....so...have fun with your friends!!!

The only way to find out is if you go. It won't hurt. If you aren't having a good time, leave. Just be you, nobody can fault you for that. There are people who just aren't into that kind of thing, and if you aren't there's no reason to be ashamed. I hope you have fun no matter what you do.
